That little 18v single battery saw you have is bomber for breaking down unions and making relief cuts at the chipper! I’ve had mine for 3 years now and haven’t had a bit of trouble with it. The 1/4 pitch kit from August is something I highly recommended for them.

Heck just making the spring stiffer on the pin release would be an improvement. It’s far too easy to push that button down. As someone with one of the new ISC blocks I was surprised at how much easier it was to depress that button on the quick link vs. their blocks.
If you are shipping saws via fedex, ups, usps it’s best to expect the delivery person to kick it like a soccer ball the entire way to your destination! Box inside a box is the best bet & put the saw in a garbage bag after you have drained the mix and bar oil out of it.
I have a uni I bought off @Richard Mumford-yoyoman and I do plenty of blue spruce removals. It works fine in sap. True it’s not great for limb walking but it’s also not terrible. I just use the BDB for those.
