I don't think any battery saw is as good as the 2511t yet, for pruning... some of the smallest battery saws are very light to carry, but bog in the cut. Seems like an easy inroad for some chainsaw company looking to make a profit.
Taking out the middle leader/s is often the best way to broaden branch union angles and provide nutrient flow to promote quicker compartmentalization of wounds. Taking off outside leaders is an Impulsive holdover of low limb lopping. Not saying that you do that - I know that you likely do it...
