Royce, I feel for you. my bucket had two safety switches. does yours? also, I had an outrigger issue with a faulty sensor too. Eventually kept a spare switch in the truck. I bet the customer will not make this equipment malfunction a reflection of you. A year from now they will remember...
For a short time I worked out of a parking lot with a massive wooden box chained to some logs to hold some of our gear that we couldn't lock up in the chip truck. crew meetings at 7am in the rain were the worst for moral!
MTI, I suggest thinking twice about asking clients if they know anyone. Over the years I have had several clients - from all walks of life- ask me if I would hire their kid or nephew or whoever. I tried it a few times, without success. Issues with your new employee can soon become issues...
connections don't get much better than that! (Maija):)
I have a similar question, what, if anything do folks use for wrist braces? that seems to be the part of my body that hurts the most lately.
Thank you!
I will be interested to see how your tree has progressed, although, admittedly, I have no knowledge of Hoop pine habits!
View work can be a form of artistry.
Interesting article Guy. I had seen part one on your web site. Questions: did the client mind seeing dead branches in the view? Do you have a current picture of the tree?
We have done view cutting in the Adirondacks for twenty five years. Often times the outcome is determined by the clients...
Did anyone else note that the contractor, CM forestry, PAID $1000.00 to take the trees down for the wood! I am dumbfounded. Who would pay $1000.00, go buy a skidder and some chaps (they look too new!) so that they could take down 540 trees which look like marginal firewood at best!:hueco:
Another shining example of how the media makes schmucks out to be professionals. Carhartt's are not a brand of PPE! These guys should at least learn basic chainsaw techniques. this stuff irritates me to no end.:frenetico:
haha, ya we only buried it a couple of times. the wildest thing was we studded a set of tracks for winter work.
Believe it or not we mostly used the winch to upright storm damaged trees... and then cable them for support. most of them are still standing today.
I will check your zip too.
