Faceshield.

MikePowers hit me up i can probably hook you up with a visor. my employer supplies everyone with that hard hat and no one uses the visor. im sure i can dig one up, if you have muffs it will clip into.

I tried the petzl vizir at the ITCC in Milwaukee. I like the concept for I too have a problem with the dust and contactss. You still need to wear safety glasses underneath and considering that with the possibility that I may need to wear it in lower light conditions I was thinking the clear. When I tried the clear on it kind of distorted my vision. Didn't happen with the smoke colored. Has anyone else notice this?

I knew there was something wrong with my eyes! I ended up with a cornea ulcer/infection in my left eye. Combination of wearing contacts too long and getting shit in my eyes all the time. Protect your eyes boys. I have been outta work a week and itching to go back. All part of the game : )

Sucks Mike. Were you following the directions on care and cleaning? It's difficult to find something that will not fog up and still keep the eyes free of debris.

Get well but, don't jump the gun. Let us know what you come up with to protect your orbs!

Ok Mike do yourself a favor....buy this forestry helmet and get this visor and muff set for your vent.... http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=37&item=200 .....throw the helmet in your garage.....you will be set...or order the muffs and visor from Honey Bros in the UK...the shipping and duties will cost the same....View attachment 28016 View attachment 28017 View attachment 28018
Swing, so that husky muff/visor set works for the kask as well as the petzl vertex? I still haven't pulled the trigger on anything. But I'm on year 6 with my helmet so I'm thinking of a full upgrade come spring.

I think it was another site but treestuff said they were gonna get the stein mesh visor that fits the kask I just don't know when

I don't like or use a visor, they are a pain when climbing in tight spaces and get in the way all the time.
I use protective goggles/shades and always cut above and/or away from the wind direction.
Vaseline on you cheeks and eyebrows helps to attract dust so it does not end up in your eyes.
