Has real bad decay along the tops of the branches now. Spring has just "sprung" here right now & it looks like several have died...

The correct splice would a class 2 due to spectra/kevlar core. You and I both know you can do it ;) so best to just go with that then no problems risking getting called out on it at comp.

A cut-out in the bench for a waste bin below makes it quick and easy to clean rope strands/cuttings as you go.

You cant cut down the pulleysaver as the stiffened tail design is a deliberate part of it's function in preventing the clip from riding up into the pulley sheave.
You can daisychain it up though. At least you have the option of still choking it around a large spar. The 1.25m wont go far in...
They look similar, but unless you got them from europe in the last few weeks they are probably regular Gladiators.
There is a little "Cool" logo under the Gladiator logo near the knee.
And the vented mesh material around the waist just under the belt line is hard to see in this size pic.
