Obviously he could have went smaller. Let say we take the same sized piece. How would we set the rigging up differently to allow for success?
I agree natural rigging was a factor, also having the second rigging point to high seems to be a factor. If the guy on the ropes let it run the full...
I really like the ArbPro's ArbPro evo
They have stood up to the abuse that i put boots through. I have only had one pair of boots last over a year and those i used only for pruning. These i used for everything pruning and removals. They stand up to the abuse a climber puts them through. If...
SRT and SRTWP= Single Rope Technique Work Positioning. Why are we making it so difficult? Theres work positioning and there is simple ascent. Theres the distinction. Its like were trying to reinvent the wheel!
I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and simply climb a tree, Wait i mean i climb the...
I'm not worried about the bend radius. I make sure that the line does not run across the biner. Thats the bigger concern i have.
The munter holds it place well. but some movement isn't a bad thing as it adjusts as needed.

Locust have to be one of the more common that i've seen damage in. It was an oak that was used as a masters climb that i saw damaged. The cambium saver def helps.
Re: Petal preliminary research
Ive seen damage to some of my TIP. Also at the charlotte comp two years ago we noticed damage at a TIP of the masters tree and thought some one dry crotched with Ddrt. later to find out it was the TIP for the one individual that set up the masters climbing SRT...
I was on vortex for a while as well, eventually i got tired of all the rope weight. I am on Imori and am loving it. It has a little more stretch than i like for SRT with a basal tie off. But its so versatile and is easy to grab. The other really solid line is Kernmaster! Can hardly go wrong with...
The fly rope by New England? I like it. It was my go to short line, used it a lot!!! It kinda fuzzes out and i think it makes it easier to grab then velocity or blaze, if your looking for a real light weight rope. Has more stretch then some of the other choices but overall i find it a great rope...
