Recommendations for footwear?

Look at the Kenetrek hikers. Very nice boot made in Italy. Nice thing about this brand is when the sole wears down, you can get them resoled. A lot of other brands mentioned here will not do that. They also make a good winter boot.

I really like the ArbPro's ArbPro evo

They have stood up to the abuse that i put boots through. I have only had one pair of boots last over a year and those i used only for pruning. These i used for everything pruning and removals. They stand up to the abuse a climber puts them through. If they have any downside id say its that the sole is a little on the soft side. That will go before the boot. I'm sure of it. But still, the best all around boot ive worn.

Anyone have feedback on low top shoes for pruning? Specifically:

Does a foot ascender creep over the top?

Do pfanner gladiator gators cover them enough to keep out sawdust?

Thinking of diving for a low top rock climber approach shoe...

I been rockin a pair of lo top 5-10's-tennie,awesome rubber but the saw dust sucks and they lack stiffness-sole support. A bit less comfortable with the foot ascender but not bad,i was even wearing my gaffs with em a bit. Just got a pair of arbpro and wow they comfy, not as grippy though.

Favorite climbing boot so far is salewa mountain trainers, with fire tail evo's at a close second. I don't find the evo's as comfortable with a foot ascender as the mountain trainers. For spur and ground work I'm loving the danner distressed boot, probably the most comfortable boot I've ever had right out of the box.
