    Homeowner Special

Nice work and techniques, Another thing you can do when using a chain around a split trunk is to take a long threaded bolt and nut with large fender washers and run it through a link on each end of the chain and use wrenches or if you have one, a battery powered impact gun to run down the bolt...

Have not worked on that saw...but I would imagine on the carb there is one connector for the fuel line on the bottom portion and then another for the impulse line on the top of the carb cover above the diaphragm. See page 22 of the manual, it should attach to the cover (part 10) in the picture.

If the metal stub line is missing and Stihl does not carry it separate (did not see a part number) then you could try getting a China clone jug and see if it fits the Stil jug....not sure if it would be for 15.68 for the whole jug kit it might be worth a shot...

    192tc help

Sorry I missed where your concern was the connection at the cylinder itself. Did the metal stub line (small metal hose inserted into cylinder) get knocked out? The impulse line connects to this, if it were missing it mean the impulse line had nothing to connect to. See diagram on page 33...

I scored in the 99 percentile in physics on my SATs so I am pretty solid on this stuff.

    The Seesaw System

Hate to say it but I feel you have unrealistic expectations. The teeter totter will not provide any free energy. That is to say that the amount of work will still be the same, if you are lifting 200 lbs up the tree each person on the teeter totter will have to do half of the work plus...

    The Seesaw System

Ground men wanted for successful tree company. Must have experience with roping heavy limbs and tops and be willing to drag brush all day long in 90° heat. In addition you will be required to work like donkeys to hoist my lazy ass up and down trees all day long so I don't have to tire myself...

    Unpaying customers

PS, My dumb ass had a neighbor ask how much I would charge to remove two trees that leaned over his fence. I asked how big they were and he said about 8" across, so I told him I would do the job for 250 dollars. The smaller of the two trees was about 12" the one in the picture is about 26"...

    Unpaying customers

I do home improvement work not much tree-work but this may put me in an ideal position to address the issue. If never go back on a contract once work is started. If I bid the job I feel its my responsibility to do the work as stated for the price bid. I feel your pain on this as it was the...

    Working for Shady Customers

I have a friend who was a second generation owner of a roofing company and after getting screwed many times he simply would not work for lawyers. Whenever he found out someone was a lawyer he would tell them, Sorry I do not work for lawyers lol.

    Business is slow

I do mainly handyman work not trees, but....I have used the "Nextdoor" app at nextdoor.com and had good success with it. The great thing is in addition to allowing you to pay for commercial adds its also offered as a free service. That is to say its free to use as a person/small business (you...

Tell me something stupid you did!

Back on subject, had a neighbor 2 weeks ago said he had a tree leaning over his fence, how much would it be to just cut it down and throw the wood over the fence.....asked him how big and he said it was about 8 inch's so I quoted him 250 labor.....lost my ass on this one.

Tell me something stupid you did!

Childhood confession time, Was doing qualudes about 43 yrs ago walking up a hill revving up my gear reduction Homolite chainsaw and slipped on some wet grass falling face first onto the saws chain...My mouth was open and the blade hit my front tooth breaking it at a 45° angle and somehow...

    Lithium powered saws?

Interesting that the 20 MPS does indeed convert to 3937 FPM or 4700 FPM for the 24 MPS. Pretty incredible chain speed, which is a great departure from the norms of the older crop of electrics.

    Lithium powered saws?

Yeah I took the number from a page on the Makita website ( https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XCU07PT) .....However it seemed a little hard to believe (and looking at another Makita web listing it says 1650 fpm) that's why I typed a "stated" speed. Your number seems a lot easier to...

    Lithium powered saws?

I notice the Makita 36 volt also has a stated 3940 ft per minute chain speed. This to me is a great departure from the low speed (typically under 1000 ft per minute) high torque setups common with many of the older electrics as a low speed high torque chains render protective gear much less...
