Curious about how different location's power companies treat service drops. Around here the line maintenance used to stop at the service drop. Homeowners were required to maintain their own service-i.e. hire a contractor to do it.

It's great in theory- There are a lot of things to consider. You need a place to store and and dry the product before it becomes usable. I've milled stuff that I was in love with before only to find it checked and warped due to improper curing.
