Branch Manager Scoops...can one still get them?

I kept my old mini skid and BMG...so I prefer not to modify the old scoops so they will still fit snugly on the old bmg

Branch Manager Scoops...can one still get them?

Thanks for the reply. I could get the large side partially pinned. The small side wasn't even close. It seemed more of a tip angle change, along with the added teeth instead of smooth. I have a email out to the dealer, to make sure he hasn't heard anything yet (Ebling's Service Plus in...

2021 TCIA Indianapolis where is everyone staying?

We are staying in the host hotel. Started doing that a few years ago...it is just very convenient. Makes it easy to go back between seminars etc.

Branch Manager Scoops...can one still get them?

I bought a Avant 423 the beginning of June, and at that time bought a new bmg grapple the Avant dealer had in stock. I figured I would just use the scoops from my 10 year old bmg, on the Avant (mostly only got the new bmg because of different mounting plate). When I went to do my first stump...

    Articulated loaders (other options?)

I can't say never. That seems a bit exreme.

Crane Sling Preferences on endless loops or webbing for bigger stuff

So a set of 5/16" GrabiQ 20' double leg chain sling, with the chain hooks and quick pin (you can get them with safety hooks too...gray hooks in my pictures above) for $432.00. These should last for years. I'm sure @Steve Connally will chime in on the chains ;)

Crane Sling Preferences on endless loops or webbing for bigger stuff

Yep I'm still here, and check things out on treebuzz every day. I just haven't seen much to comment on recently. Haven't been posting a whole lot on Facebook or Instagram either, just a post here or there about the crane or the new Avant. I like the chains a lot...more peace of mind than...

Crane Sling Preferences on endless loops or webbing for bigger stuff

Chains for me. They are heavy (especially my current set), but last forever. Both my rope and endless slings got damaged...not cut or hit by anything, just abrasion.

    Knuckleboom vs. Wallboard Crane

This is his truck. I'll try again to get him to post on here. Said he used to be on here a lot, but hasn't been for a long time.

    Knuckleboom vs. Wallboard Crane

Not all wallboards are the same. This guy had one custom build, and it would crush my truck. I bet he would even give Steve's old truck a run. I tried to get him to respond, on here, but so far he hasn't. Hopefully you can see it (a group post). Edit-probably can't since a private group. He has...

    Handsaw placement

Or they just cut with their non dominant hand a lot, leaving there dominant hand to control the limb that they are handsawing. I personally switched back and forth on which hand I cut/hold with depinding on the side of the tree, size of limb, how tired that particular hand might be etc.

    Handsaw placement

Depends on my position. Chainsaw off and break on when moving it across in front of me. A non-spinning chain isn't going to instantly cut a rope etc. PS- most times when I'm chunking, or rigging, spars I run the throttle left handed. This does put the bar slightly closer to my ropes, but it...

    Handsaw placement

Handsaw on my back right side (right handed) using the clip most saddles have. Chainsaw on the other side in about the same position. I've tried the leg scabbard for awhile, but went back to traditional (and know of others that have done the same). The leg is great in theory...I just didn't feel...
