As a full time grapplesaw crane company (strictly subbing out to tree companies), I don't forsee them being used for Ai pruning. Removals I could potentially see with lidar etc. Though the cost of such a setup would be pretty crazy. You are talking about $600k to a million just for the truck...
Try using the picture icon (up in tool bar...next to the font style and indent etc) versus using the attach file button below your written text. That worked for me.
Here is what I use almost every day and at Crane Safety Climber School
Current setup using NJ Crane Experts

I do miss having the extra metal ring in the system...it helped prevent material contact if boom is vertical.
Bmg scoops and a blower. Rarely had to touch a rake. Paired with a roll off or hooklift container was awesome. I liked using the scoops because you can get full capacity without getting off the machine.
Boring video showing me using it with an Avant (from several different angles)
Some guys...
Both Steve and I run our saws through the crane's remote, no seperate saw remote. I think Steve's original truck was that way too, through the crane remote.
I dont know if I can "feather down" the tilt while holding a limb...never tried it. If I dont want a full release of the tilt, I just do...
Yep, they are about 20 minutes from me. They build my truck from the ground up, 7 years ago now. They have come a long way with grapplesaw crane knowledge...mine was their first build (not sure if they did a mecanil retrofit before my truck or not). Super knowledgeable on Fassi booms and now...
So passive is when you are not pumping fluid through the valve to do the desired action. You are just opening the valve and letting the fluid (tilt etc) do what it wants. So if the butt of a long branch (that I mid grabbed) is against the ground, the grapple tilt function could be adding tension...
Yes, they have to be specifically for lifting, and have load rating tags on them (just like any crane sling has to have tags).
These are the ones @Steve Connally and I use https://www.lift-it.com/mgd-grabiq-master-grab-double-leg-chain-sling-516-gr100?a=245|48437 with the safety hooks. In the...
The whole truck is just under 34', so for a crane I can't complain. The turning radius sucks. My old frieghtline kboom was a longer truck and turned better than my current western star truck. I can almost alway make it work, just takes some wiggling.
I like hooklifts for tree work, but my biggest complaint about them is the lack of good tool box space. It is far harder to have a good rope box and L or I boxes. Your almost limited to underbody boxes. Another issue I've found is just the overall increased deck height (but this is probably...
One of the companies I work with recently got one of these https://www.schafferloader.com/2630.html . I have not seen it yet, but I was fairly impressed with the specs. Better capacity than my Avant 528
When did I agree to Snopes being a credible source? I used them because it tends to be one people on the left mention.
As I said I not really here to debate and we are obviously not changing each other's opinions. You asked for a example of a lie, and I gave one. Just not seeing how you can...
