Recommended 3-strand splicing video?

Should we be lock stitching this 3 strand splice for life support? I'm fixing to make a friction saver and lanyard as well. Thanks.

This is the Akimbo

I have a stupid question. Why is it undesirable or not yet* popular to connect the akimbo straight onto a rope bridge (like, skip the biner and bridge ring, swivel, pulley etc.) The device is super fast on and off rope...so tell me why you wouldn't do this? Thanks:baba:

Setting trunk-cinched TIP from ground

I’m only speculating because I haven’t tried a simulation yet but looks like if you did take a fall with that setup ... you’d be hanging from your fingers pinned to the tree like Jesus ... would you be able to escape?
