Anyone know if one of these PerfectO captive bar carabiners has enough space to fit the akimbo with the captive bar installed? I know the perfecto by itself fits just fine.

Played around with it, felt good to me, but one noticable issue, is that the tending point being spring loaded, popped off the prussik when I went to adjust it's position every timeI think a better solution to have the Akimbo self tend on a doubled line, would be to set it up in an O-rig, with a small prussic on the static side of the line attached to the regular tending hook to hold the Akimbo upright. Then you have the advantage also of being able to adjust the Akimbo out to arms length, or bringing it readily back down to near the bridge.
Not sure I would use that sterling bound loop nylon prussik cord like that...specs are a little weak....not sure if you've researched it? Very good for many things tho and I do like the ideaPlayed around with it, felt good to me, but one noticable issue, is that the tending point being spring loaded, popped off the prussik when I went to adjust it's position every time
Why not? Even paracord or throwline is strong enough for this application. Not sure I would use that sterling bound loop nylon prussik cord like that...specs are a little weak....not sure if you've researched it? Very good for many things tho and I do like the idea
Do you need a rated prusik for that according to ANSI? Just doesn't make sense to me, because it not part if the life support.I guess but it wouldn't meet the z standards
Tending point is 90 degrees opposite where it wants to beI have a stupid question. Why is it undesirable or not yet* popular to connect the akimbo straight onto a rope bridge (like, skip the biner and bridge ring, swivel, pulley etc.) The device is super fast on and off rope...so tell me why you wouldn't do this? Thanks![]()
I thought about doing that with my bdb. I decided against it for two reasons. 1, Sometimes I might want to use a different device or system and its a pain in the ass to untie the bridge stopper knots and 2, sometimes I'm just on spikes and a lanyard and I don't want it smacking off my balls as it hangs on my loose bridge.I have a stupid question. Thats lovely. It gently strokes and fondles mine ...
Ehh not so.. it needs more info. If you thread your rope bridge through the akimbo it lines up in the same orientation as it would if using a ring and a biner. If you use a locking shackle or open ring then you’d be 90* offTending point is 90 degrees opposite where it wants to be

That’s awesome you got blue moon that works for you, I know people have been having difficultyShot a couple videos for the I LOVE SRT facebook group and thought I would share them here
For Reference I'm 320 lbs and it works phenomenally.
Some minor creep on lightly used Bluemoon
No slippage on used Poison Hi-Vy
The harness attachment is awesome on the Camp Tree access evo btw
