I have some 5/8 TENEX that I never used for anything. How safe would it be to get the large x_ring and attach it to the 6feet of TENEX with a triple fisherman's know for light rigging and redirects

Tenex-TEC is stupid easy to splice, and requires no special tools... why try to tie a ring onto it with a knot? The MBS should be around 16,000 lbs. for 5/8" Tenex-TEC, so the 5:1 WLL would be 3200 lbs. --- 10:1 WLL would be 1600 lbs. but with the knot it would be less.

He's not lying freeweight. Wicked easy. I went knots on.double braid ropes with my rings, but finally got some tenex and its so easy and makes them just a cleaner set up

Freeweight, I never have spliced either. I've heard it's really easy, but I am hesitant to do it in case I do something wrong. Where are you going to order the equipment from?
