X-rigging rings

Yeah, I can definitely see that. I've installed Cobra, though it's been a while. I think my wife would kill me if I tried to pick up splicing right now. I keep planning to learn one of these winters when I've got some free time but then I hear the newly formed waterfall ice or fresh, untracked backcountry powder. Some of these X-Ring ideas have really gotten a hold of my imagination though.

Okay so my first video of using the x-rings is up called Sugur.

My impressions are that I love the way the ring tracks with the movement of the rope under load, no more side load of my red pulleys, it is even in any direction the load pulls at it - I really did enjoy just watching it happen in front of me :sisi:
Heat ? what heat ? the surface was easily touched straight after running the load down no worries.
Okay at the higher points it is a drag to pull the rope up to yourself but the groundie can speed it from below without any real extra effort so not a major downer.
Nice and easy to setup no real weight on the saddle and being able to lob them from the tree when done was a treat.
The pieces ran clean and smooth did not see any extra hockling in the line from using the x-rings.

I was impressed.
Ben.

Do you guys like the 5' xrr rr fs mine is 3/4" tenex and closer to 2'-2 1/2' is all that length helpful for you in many cases?
X's try ring is around 3' so just wondering it seems excessively long

Suprising the amount of defects in that heavy of wood near the house and still standing.
thankyou merle , the recent failure had taken out the primaries for the surrounding area and when you see the large crack at the top of that first main union then look at the extension with that weight out over the houses then that warrant is duly signed sealed and awaiting delivery.
cheers Ben.

...are cheezy poofs a real thing?

Well, no... but the wife and I call any of the cheese puff products out there... they're numerous... Cheezy Poofs. The South Park show was making fun of them by not actually calling them by their various brand names. The ones we usually buy are actually called Chester's Cheese Puffs. Addictive as heroin, but take longer to kill you.

...your people sure know about snacks...

Yeah, we got multi-billion-dollar industries geared up to make the tasty, and for cheap. But, we're all getting fat as hogs!
I'm weaning myself off everything but the organic stuff. Got to get in shape for summer. Those trees can only be expected to carry so much weight before they break.

hey all, some potential xrr customers are wondering some things, i'll try to address them all soon. hopefully get some more rain tomorrow so I can get on the forum. Most of these things are listed somewhere in these 54 pages, but newbies don't want to read 53 pages! I wouldn't. Later, X
