Work Photos

No, no, no! If the homeowner hired some fly-by-night tree hack to get it down, and their cheapo guy quit halfway thru, then they're stuck with it! "We don't risk our lives to clean up other people's disasters!" Next time, tell them to hire the professionals at Sugarbush first, get it done correctly, and leave Mr. Beaver sitting in his lodge!

Never had to deal with a still standing beaver tree before. Be safe!
Yeah it's a dandy! There's a few ways of going about it! I'll take pics !!! Might be a week or 2 away until we touch it

Nice, Devon. Amazing setting there, I never get tired of seeing your work photos.
Thanks ! Well only water we will be seeing tomorrow is the pine getting hoisted over a pool! Have to hoist a big white pine and some crappy poplars out of a backyard tomorrow over a pool with the 75 ton crane . Back to the lake Thursday for a long time !!!!

Had the chance to prune the biggest Pin Oak in Seattle today (110' ish). Fun to do a big climb that's not a removal. The view was nice, too.

Weird thing... The deadwood and even smaller live limbs were super brittle. Seemed very unusual for an Oak. Any ideas?

While not technically dead, this is the scariest hazard tree removal I've done. Big nasty Manitoba with what appears to be absolutely NOTHING holding it up anymore. Zero wood remaining on the tension side, and probably 80% of the stump no longer existed. That's a 5 foot rock bar that I couldn't find bottom with.

He called me two days later, after one of those crazy thunderstorms we've been getting lately. There are two big hangers waiting for me.

He's a horticulturist at a public gardens and his parents planted the trees when their kids were born. Apparently his mum prays to the trees every morning. o_O

Best wedding present ever. Hahahaha

Dude that's nuts. I'm no stranger to sketchy elm or ash but Manies stand alone. I bet you were glad to hit the ground.

I knew it was a bad one, but I didn't realize how bad until I saw the stump cut to grade, had you been able to show me that photo from the future I may have not accepted the job. I probed it to estimate remaining wall thickness in the trunk but even with those numbers it's hard to really grasp the severity of the decay until you see it after the fact.

image.webp image.webp Do an estimate weeks ago to remove 3 locust trees empty lot easy drop and chip job. But no let's put in a foundation, a fence and dig a large Ditch in the way then call the tree guy and say I need it done asap go figure.
