Yesterday was a big day for our small company. We had our sk800 delivered with 3 attachments- BMG is going to be ordered next week. My C corporation hit a milestone and can now finance big purchases. While many of you are on your 3rd crane purchase this year, this is huge for me. I was literally working out of the back of a Honda fit 3 years ago with a borrowed lineman belt, POS Poulan, and skateboard helmet. Most of the wisdom about the business, safety, and equipment has come from this forum. Thank you all.

Congratulations!
What attachments did you get?
I got a 4n1, a toothed bucket, pallet forks, and bobcat MT interface (my rental yard has bobcat machines - we occasionally need auger and trencher). I just placed an order for the BMG.

Lately, 80% of my work has been landscape design and install. We do most of the tree work in the winter - medium size pruning and removal.

Congrats on the purchases. If ordering your BMG from branch manager see if you can request the shipping company that delivers it. If that's possible request anyone except Road Runner, my BMG was to be delivered on the 29th and has still not shown up. I have been told 3 different times now that it has been loaded onto a truck leaving Indianapolis to make its last 3 hour journey to my town and I have been told that it arrived to the local distribution center twice, it has yet to arrive. Branch Manager is doing what they can to help track down my shipment, but as of now I have not seen it. From what I've been told this is not the first time this has happened as of late with this shipping company.

This is nothing new and it doesn’t really matter who you order from as most are drop shipped from BMG anyhow. We had the same issue with ours ordered from TS last year (was told we would get the Black Friday percentage off, but didn’t in the end). Ours was 3 weeks before anyone could even say that it had been shipped. Then no one could say, really, where it was either. It spent another week and a half in a semi-local shipping warehouse and 3 more days on a truck out for delivery. Keep after them, it will get there.

I was on them pretty good, it actually showed up later that day after I made that post. The guy at the local distribution center called me as soon as he got it unloaded from the truck and I went over and picked it up.

The concerning part of this delivery was being repeatedly told it was on the truck headed my way and the tracking showing that it arrived here, but then the grapple was found once again in Indianapolis where it had just shipped out of.

In the end it made it here in good condition and in time for me to spend a weekend with it on my own property to get used to running it before taking it to a customer's.

Bucket list............Climb a Euc with @Stihlmadd ............... Climb a 200'-er with @rico........... climb with @Reg............ do a helli-removal, rig a massive piece with @theXman, go to masters at Geezers/Legends
If you do go see StihlMadd for a little work, maybe I’ll join you. That dude scares me, so it’s probably best if you have a little backup, just in case. Strength in numbers bro!
