T2 pants are the summer weight. They are fleece lined but don't let that scare you. They have done well for me on 90+ with 50% humidity. I like them. The shirts are very nice. I have been an Arborwear guy for about 20 years. They problem is getting a bunch of pants from them, they all fit differently. I've had my arborwear pants for 15 years and still holding up. Due to a mysterious weight loss I needed to update my pants. Seemed like the perfect time to get tome Truewerk. Plus I'm dealing with a company who appears to give a crap about me as a person. I used to know another company like that. Oh the olden days.

Fleece? I dunno man. Sounds hot.

I ordered a pair of T2's. Be here Friday. I will report after I sweat my ass off in them. Yesterday here was 105 heat index. Did two pine trees and lost 8 pounds.

The T-2 pants arrived this afternoon. I am pleased with the way they fit and move. Will give them their first test tomorrow in 100+ heat index weather. I am hopeful. I am thrilled that they have produced the larger sized and hope they do in their other lines soon. Quality appears to be outstanding and the price point is excellent. More later

Ahem, what do you think?

I actually have a pair of nylon pants with cargo pockets... what people used to call parachute pants... that have a lining that's like T-shirt material. Those are baggy and real cool in the summer. I have another pair that are some kind of polyester blend that have a microfleece lining. Not quite as baggy but still pretty cool. Both will cling to you and not be quite as cool if you're sweating a lot. The lining adds a little insulation against the heat as long as they fit loose with decent airflow.

I think the airflow is the big thing. That's not easy to accomplish effectively when you have a harness and all kinds of things strapped to you. Wearing climbers really cuts back any airflow.

OK, so I've had these pants a few weeks and generally I like them. I could have probably dropped down a waist size and been OK and will try that the next time. The lining described by some here as "micro-fleece" is a bit confusing in my estimation, I really wouldn't call it a fleece. They are comfortable as all get out, like having a pair of the flannel house PJ's on that everyone wears to the convenience store, and they are cooler than jeans or my SIP's for certain. They shed water, dry quickly and look good. Truewerk has a chart that gives temperature comfort range of their garments and these fall into the 32-85 degree range. If we ever get 85 degree temps again I will be able to comment on that but the 90-98 and 100-115 temps and heat indexes we have been getting skew any real comments I can make. I have the gift of sweat and can be soaking wet from it in the middle of a blizzard which brings me to my only disappointment which is for me at least, sweat doesn't evaporate fast enough and the feeling on my skin is different that any other garment I have ever worn. I really can't explain it any other way than it is different. Appearance wise, they look sharp and would make any crew look very professional. I do have some other issues that I want to bring to the management/designers at Truewerks. All in all, I think these are great pants that definitely have a place in our industry. Don't be hesitant to try them. Ok, infomercial is over.

You see I work in heat everyday. But I have an aversion to slow drying fabrics and any pants that do not have a velcro cuff. Pfanner makes all their climbing pants with velcro cuffs....except CS pants which I abhor. Pfanner globes are perfect for me. Gladiators for sappy and thorny trees.

If Phanner would care to make them in a size that would fit me, I would be happy to give them a try. I feel discriminated against because of my body size. All working arborists should have access to this gear regardless of body size. I feel the same about all your dinky assed saddles too.:musculoso:
