We caused a car accident about 3 weeks ago.

We were doing a crane job in a retail parking lot on a Saturday. Someone was watching us and slammed into a vehicle. I sort of felt bad, but I really had no control over that. ---Sorry. Side story.

Kathy. How do you plan on dealing with the employee. Is he/she "no longer with the company"?

hey guys,
the isuzu squeaked under being totalled with about $19k in repairs, and is at the frame shop. i should have it back in a few wks "like new" for my $500 deductible. it's been challenging trying stay in business w/o the ability to clean up. got a ladder rack put on my dodge dakota and stuffed the canopy with saws and rope - still making messes, challenging trying to clean up. probably about 6 wks of breaking even will be the outcome here. quite a hit for me financially. the chipper repair bid was just shy of $9k and they cut me a check, which i will put toward a new (more likely new-to-me) chipper.

driver still has a job, for the moment. still thinking on that one. he's a good kid. not sure how to handle that. at any rate, he shouldn't get news about his job from my posting here.

Glad the truck is covered...did you go back to the same frame shop?

9K should go a long way towards a chipper...I know of a used one that may still be for sale...I'll email ya.
