Treestuff's New Website

Just visited it. Horrible. Lights up my outgoing firewall, meaning it is extremely invasive and trying to send your info to a bunch of websites that have nothing to do with your shopping. On top of that the idiots got rid of the saved for later wish list. Which makes it harder to not only get the things I've been wanting for a while already, but also add on other items that I am not specifically there to order, but have been wanting for a while and I deem cheep enough at checkout to add to an order I may be placing. Good thing there are other places to get all the things in that list...

On to the new features! This is a list of just some of the updates we’ve made to TreeStuff: Improved search Category filtering - filter by size, color, brand, etc. 360° photos - rotate products all the way around. We’ll be adding more and more in the coming weeks. Here’s a sweet example...

I haven’t really noticed any problems with the site. Wish so much stuff wasn’t out of stock though. Luke’s Floor was kinda cool too, hoping they bring that back.
 
I can't even log into my account anymore, and I paid the fee for Nick Araya's rope splicing course, which I no longer have access to. I'll probably call them up one of these days to try to get it straightened out. If it doesn't get straight, I'm out the money I paid for the course.

This is rather Lmfao considering i haven't been able to get the search to populate results, AT ALL! Nothing... Zip..Zilch..Nada... Just an empty page with all the other normal content on the edges.

Kinda similar to the search feature results here.. operator - "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up & try again"..

Before the change, everything was fine.. punch in a product & find it in the results..
 
My TS order history seemed to have disapeared too and I wasn't able to put anything in a cart, even after logging in. Sent an email and got an answer back next day with a phone number to call and talk. By then, order from Wesspur was on its way! And ditto on the website sending your information to big brother everywhere - what's up with that?
This new website is silly and NOT an upgrade over the old one frankly. The old one was more like a business to business site - I don't need fancy big pictures that you can rotate etc. You are a supplier of what are for the most part commodity goods - you compete on the basis of price and availability, shipping/ duty and after sales service. Period. We are not shopping for fashionable fur coats here!
Sorry I think this thing is a mess and I can't imagine how much money you wasted on all this. And I don't like having to scroll past pages and pages of pictures. This current trend in website design sucks - the same thing happened to Baileys website I think - the old one was way better - the new one is replete with fancy pictures but you can't find anything anymore. Think of the word "Shopping" as opposed to the phrase "Supplier of innovative tree tools in partnership with your business." TS has become a "shopping" website. Sorry Nick.

Really!? I think the site admin like to hear about this to fix for us. Mine works always but I mostly use this on my phone.
Are you typing basic key words? Not trying to be sarcastic, you seem too smart to not have tried everything to make it work.
Pretty sure Tom and Greg really want that feature to work so the public can access the archives of info...
 
That's because a lot of three letter things won't give u results. Try srt canopy or srt anchor or srt hitch
 
Ok of those 3 I suggested the first one, srt canopy gave me the same results you got but the other 2 gave me threads

That's just it though.. adding additional words usually results in more of the same "oops" or additional stuff that isn't relevant to what your looking for... like the additional single word by itself showing up without the term your really looking for.. In fact in my experience, the more words you use, the less relevant things become.

Either way, the fact that you can't search things out by a single word basis is the problem I'm expressing. I'd rather filter 10,000 hits on a single word than be told there is to few, too many, or not enough characters when you know full well the posts exist... in other words something isn't able to produce the results because it's programmed not to.. I can search like this most other places..

I'm sure the admins know.. i believe it's just a matter of software.. Some forum software probably just has better search functionality than others.. & then at that point it becomes subjective.. I've also seen some other forums' search features go from complete crap, to super easy awesome overnight.. So what else could it be.. it surely isn't my resourcefulness, that shit plateud back on netscape 2.0..lol. well.. maybe that's the problem then..

Personally, I've always had the best/easiest results on forums when they provide the embedded google search that produces only results from the site. This way, iirc you can use all the normal Google commands & find that silly 3 letter word whether it's used once or 10,000 times. When that's available i barley ever use the built in feature.

Here's one for you.. i know it's been talked about here, its has to have been... In fact i believe most things like this originate right here..
Search out the reason & discussion as to why we are advised not to use Trex on the Safebloc.. Like an actual discussion, some original experience, not just someone repeating not to use them together. Like the X-files, i know it's out there..lol. but cannot find anything relevant using the search..

Jesus.. another fuggin novel.. I'm starting to sound like i need to be medicated..:frenetico:
