NEW TreeStuff Website!

On to the new features!

This is a list of just some of the updates we’ve made to TreeStuff:
  • Improved search
  • Category filtering - filter by size, color, brand, etc.
  • 360° photos - rotate products all the way around. We’ll be adding more and more in the coming weeks. Here’s a sweet example.
  • Embedded video reviews
  • Securely saved addresses and payment methods
  • Easy re-ordering
  • Shop Talk - find product videos, webinars, reviews, and more
  • Live customer service chat coming soon

Securely saved addresses and payment methods is an improved feature? How compromised was my info before? Do the Russians know who I am?

Before, we did NOT save any type of payment info. We've upgraded our security and services to the point where we can save that info. Lots of websites (like amazon, and the place I get my dogfood) save payment info, I think it's awesome.

Saving multiple addresses and different ship to locations is definitely a feature, especially for people that might ship to a business and a home, or someone who has multiple shipping locations. Before there was just the one saved address, and it was the most recent.

So far beyond looking nicer, I can say it sucks. It is super slow compared to the old site. Took more clicking on my end navigating the old site, but I got to the product I was looking for quicker because I wasn't waiting for the website to load.

All the animation bullshit as you navigate. That is one of the first features I turn off when I get a new phone because it pointlessly slows things down and eats up battery. It irritates me that I even have to turn it off, but at least I have the option. Much like some other data intensive websites that have an option to use a dumbed down version so it isn't so slow in areas with low connectivity.

The similar items feature. More unnecessary data slowing the site down. I don't need an advert for a weaver cougar while I'm looking at a treemotion evo. Those are not similar items. FUCK WEAVER.

It lights up my outgoing firewall. Most computers don't have these, mine does. I deny outgoing connections to any and all extra websites that are not needed for the site to function. Meaning all the consumer tracking websites you are trying to give(sell) info to and otherwise unnecessary garbage. Can't imagine how much slower it would be if I was allowing it to transfer all that extra data...

No more saved for later wish list with the shopping cart? I guarantee that feature made you money. Every order I placed I scrolled through that list to see if there was something I didn't need at the time, but wanted to add on to my order. Often times I did, especially if I needed something to bump it up into the free shipping range. Now I will have to navigate through the slow website trying to find stuff I once had conveniently listed all in one place. That's certainly not going to happen unless it falls into the need to add a few dollars for free shipping catagory now.

Refine by color... That might be a nice feature if it brought up ALL the pulleys that come in purple instead of just one. I can think of three off the top of my head.

Buckingham eh? Hate to break it to you, but that is clearly a New Tribe saddle...

That's all for now. Got a headache from waiting for pages to load while browsing. Would hate to be somebody relying on their phone in a low reception area if it is unbearable on high speed broadband internet in an urban location.

The new website works fine on my tablet. Picture mixups and other glitches do not really bug me, it is a new site, getting things in order can take time. Orders go through and stuff still gets to my door, thats what I expect and appreciate.

I can't the splicing videos to work or use PayPal on checkout. Haven't tried on a computer but definitely can't get anything on my phone. Emailed a few weeks ago and was told it's a known issue and emailed yesterday and haven't heard anything back.
