TreeStuff No-Knot Rigging System

I used it yesterday for the first time.. only on a few cuts.. bombed almost everything.. It's awesome.. though it has some significant issues, depending on rigging styles.. I use a lot of redirects and switch ends on the line frequently etc... . I prefer more flexibility than a splice would allow.... I used an anchor hitch on true blue and clipped it to my saddle when it came off... Little heavy for climbing.. perfect for the bucket.. more later..

Had to put a 2500 lb screw link on the choker.. I didn't actually try to put the anchor hitch on it.. just looked like it would interfere with the hook.. The crew link was $9 and it significantly reduced the strength of the system. Not concerned about it though as I only plan on using it for fairly light rigging.. say under 5-700 lbs....

I agree with Riggs. New twist on an old idea. Though its great to see new things, this system has been around for decades (though publicly not for sale?).

Nothing wrong with showing new twists, I would just like to see our "veterans of tree work" given credit for things they developed many years ago.

Chris, do you mind sharing some of the veteran secrets? I do contract work for a guy that girths his rigging line with a steel biner. I can tie a running bowline pretty fast but it's still nowhere near as quick as a biner girth. He's always teasing about buying me a steel biner but I feel like a RB is a more secure attachment and I've never liked the idea of crossloading a biner (even if it's steel). I think I read that someone uses a floating steel ring and a steel biner to girth their limbs. That seems like a great option. Apart from using slings what other no knot rigging techniques are out there?
