TreeStuff No-Knot Rigging System

Well, it eliminates the need for a slipknot to keep the rigging line from running away through the block, but now you have to tie a slipknot to keep the sliding hook from running down the rope. Still, I like the overall idea. Though a steel biner and heavy duty webbing loops have worked very well for me so far. They don't go through a block either. Oh well, I'll sit back and see how the reviews go.
Often I don't bother with the sling sm/med choke biner big choke biner with marl

Is the sliding hook going to phase shift through a block before it slides down the rope or what
I see your point, once it's through the block it won't slide far. It was mentioned in the one review on the product page, but maybe that was when the user was getting set up, and dropped the hook before feeding it through the block. IDK? Anyway like I said, I like the idea.

Perhaps they are thinking about transitions between different rigging points. I am surprised the innovation lab could not think of a scenario where that might happen. Careless? Yes. Possible? Yes.

wondering if we might run into the issue of the rope sliding down the trunk on straight spar type cuts.. would making a half hitch or marl be more difficult with the hardware? etc.. Actually love the idea.. I'd like to get the raw material on that, so I can put it on a 200' rope of my own liking..

Whoopies were designed as an adjustable crane sling. Cowhitch dead eye and clip in adjustable end and pull tight super simple

Whoppies should not be used for crane slings in the manner described. The adjustable portion needs to be incorporated into the choke. If it is on the hook end it is possible for the adjustable part to pull out under heavy load. I tested a set up similar to that made specifically for crane work and that is why I discontinued the use.

Thanks for that

That's awesome ! I just stopped at a gas station at the corner of knock off and bullshit ave . Wow a knot less system from the 80's and 90's , OMG . like Blair and Sherrill ? OMG , knock off avenue goes on , and on ..... whats next ? a device that's lets you lower limbs.......That;s a mile away , ............

I agree with Riggs. New twist on an old idea. Though its great to see new things, this system has been around for decades (though publicly not for sale?).

Nothing wrong with showing new twists, I would just like to see our "veterans of tree work" given credit for things they developed many years ago.

Is there a rigging rope featuring this hardware that I missed. I 100% believe in transparency and giving credit where it is due. You notice in our product listing we clearly state the manufacturer of these components, and if you know me at all I have been for 'DIY' tools since day one.
