Is this Elm native?

Not an elm... We pruned it a few years ago, no cable (client declined). It's had some bad storm damage since then, but we were not called back. It's too bad because this is one of the largest of it's kind in RI.

Neither of those... This is usually thought of as an ornamental, mainly because of its smaller cousin.

No, but a decent guess based on the clues. This tree doesn't get quite THAT big. RI State champ is about 50' X 40' X 30" DBH. Not a common tree here in RI at all.
