I have a client with a big pagoda tree.....the foliage kind of reminds me of this tree.

motreebeard,

there's something unsettling about your stretched avatar pic, i think its your stance, reminiscent of a reluctant member of a firing squad waiting for the inevitable orders to fire. . either way, its making me feel anxious. After de-stretching the pic i can see you look more comfortable and more detail appeared - No spikes for a removal? Crane job? the notch and the sling angle dont make sense, whats happening? any more pics of the job?

First off, no not a corkscrew willow. Secondly I hardly ever use spikes, I just dont care for them. Yes it was a crane removal and the position of the crane was such that the operater was more comfortable with a face notch and thin hinge that he could gently pull to him. Probably not needed but I usually let the operator dictate (within reason) how he uses his crane. The sling should have been on the back side and probably a little higher but all went well, thanks for asking.
