Trees from a distance

correct.

my wife found an interesting critter on that tree pictured, I will submit it in our bugs and crud post at a later date.

we have a similar things to "trees from a distance" on the bug forum, called "what is this little bugger", or something like that.
 
that is a 3 year old female tree climber. i helped her out there of course, had her hold the limb so i could go back and take a picture, she then said she wanted to climb up that limb she was hugging and pulled her right leg up before I ordered her to stop. She's really a great listener and I can trust her to do what is told when it comes to safety.

clue is in the picture if you can zoom in on the "fruit".

but perhaps you people don't plant much of this foreign tree in your part of the country...
 
Okay, how about Chinese date (Zizyphus spinosa) ?
This tree's fruit is more for medicinal purposes, though.



Whereas the Jujube (Zizyphus jujuba 'Li' and 'Lang') - also known as Chinese date - are more for fruit and jam eating.
