tree stuff, its been real....

Dang I hope Kevin handed out the ear plugs before the game ended!! I've been so busy with catching up on family time I forgot about the big game. My wife was mad that we skipped church to play in leaf piles. Well she was upset for a few minutes and then joined in. Now she's mad trying to get the debris out of her hair at the moment. Been a fun day!

Don't feel bad, we missed mass cuz Mikey decided to go and give himself a mild concussion via the hardwood floor. Got the yardwork done though.

My personal position is we gave constructive criticism and it was met by excuses and a totally lack of taking our position as a genuine bit of feedback. The aggressive nature was not taking place until a complete disregard to our feelings as customers and a dismissal of our concerns. I personally was left feeling like I was totally not important as a customer nor were my concerns met with any valid civil response. I will admit to being overly frustrated by the entire situation. I have flown the Treestuff flag for a long time spending an extremely large amount of money with them over the years then to be made to feel insignificant is a slap in the face. The truth is they don’t care about me or what I have to say. It’s very unfortunate but the general attitude tends to fuel the fire of attitudes and general negative feel towards their current business practices. I suppose we all have probably beat this horse to death. The thing that reignites the thread is those who sign into the conversation to tell us we are wrong or that our feelings are invalid. I’m not referring to the mods. Just the general conversationalist who haven’t read the history of the subject on the 5 threads about the merger. Many are trying to be constructive though tongue and cheek with frustration and disappointment.

I married into it. my in laws Wear blue and maize down to their underwear on Saturdays. the kids definitely heard some profanity this weekend. not so much from me. I'm a basketball guy anyway. my college team would be CU. (colorado) which hasn't done anything for over 20 years. Its funny how contagious it is though. I felt pretty uncomfortable at TCIA on a Saturday with all that red going on.

One of my good friends is an OSU grad. He married a Penn State grad. They go to every rivalry game flying their own colors. Must be more to life than college fooseball

@Steve Connally I hear what you're saying. They can't seem to get out of the own way in many respects. My feedback has been well received by some and there are instances where it's been acted on. My personal purchasing has been channeled through the company now so I don't have the same degree of interaction with that side of it, except to make recommendations. From what I saw at the Expo, there's plenty more competition coming up and they see the way to build marketshare for themselves. ST and TS are providing a very big opening for the up and comers.

So, after all the hoopla over the MCRS saddle and the social media bludgeoning that has gone on, is any supply company still handling and selling the MCRS or has this effectively killed this product? Just wondering because I haven't seen it listed on any of the major suppliers websites.

How could anyone else sell it?
One would (or might) suppose there was some legalese contract documention stuff drawn up between Matt and TreeStuff.
I reckon in addition to naming and marketing the saddle, TreeStuff also set the pricepoint, and has exclusive rights to it.

Please correct me iffn I'm wrong, Nick.
I'm kinda used to being wrong. My wife reminds me of such on a perpetual recurrent basis.
Is Matt free to rename and shop his saddle to another retailer? Or is this a state of suspended animation, like Frankenstein before you zap the electrodes to his skull?

Yea..... I got to be honest, if you really think that in some way or form that this site is not "social media" you are kidding yourself or trying to feel that this is better then something its not. This site was around prior to Facebook and twitter sure... but honestly it was just ahead of the curve. As for individuals calling out a company for having what they view as poor business practice in one area or another is "life" as well. If you as a business cant take people being honest about your service when it's not positive and full of sunshine then close your doors. As much as the customer wont always like the service or will have problems and will be forced to deal with it so will the company when they are called out on it. I get that Sherrill is a paying customer to this site but that does not make them a paying customer to those that make this site what it is and has always been. Sharing of information goes both good and bad and both have to be put out there without a restriction, unless you plan on curbing when people are way to "happy" about something as well? Maybe Sherrill should take the comments and actually give them some thought rather then seemingly ignoring them and jack some more prices up or have poor quality gear go out with no care to right the issue when presented with it.

The moment you silence a truth is the moment people will turn on you. Just be honest and allow people to speak, even when you don't agree. It's the only way to move forward.

Nail on the head James.....well daid....I love the buzz and owe it a lot for the climber I am today.....so I will keep to the rules here....just hard to go from my FB closed group to here as I am a cussbird in reallife.....
