Two types of threads go 13....the brilliant learning thread>>>>>>and the absolutely ridiculous thread......it's all good, this thread has been hilarious at times, heartbreaking at others...it takes all kinds to make this world spin....tolerance is something I am realy trying to learn....

I let down anouther 80'er today boomed away from my hitch. Payed close attention to the reaction. The rope didn't feel a thing, even with the weight of the limb. As I've said this may not be standard practice but, I've seen it work just fine. Only thing that puzzles me is how can you all be so sure what won't work with all the new ideas in this business? I know about crap next to you guys but somethings I have learned and stated at least this part already in this thread. linework... more then one way to fu** a football. Tree work same x10. I'm dropping these trees safely. Maybe not at first but am now... This rope handles it just fine. This thread is dead! I have managed to put a bandaid on it if you will,. Do I need to learn standard methods. Couldn't agree more. Thanks for all the input that I finnally recieved.

Glad to hear you are still OK.
The high potential for catastrophic failure makes me leery, especially since you are rolling the dice unnecessarily.

you need a helmet cam (if you even wear one that is) to film this stuff because the peanut gallery deffo wants to see it all in action. All sillyness aside, it could help with your techniques... I have an old one kicking about somewhere....

Yeah JGREENE pics and vid... you ain't real until you prove it. I just can't picture what kind of human you are. This whole fake website thing and no knowledge of everything that's important - it just doesn't add up.

For tolerance and for Swing and for 13. ;-)

Sorry, I'm still pissed off that I read this whole thread, then the other threads that were linked earlier in this thread, took me half the day, I feel like I lost part of my life.

I agree with Bixler! I don't believe something this ridiculous is real and I am pissed I have continued to read this silly thread and lost part of my life I will never get back! And I had to remove a Hawthorn today so I am extra pissed off, and very scratched up! Hahaha!

Well page 13...congratulations Swing...

I have reached out and was blown off as if he has blocked me or is just ignoring my posts. My time would probably have been too expensive for him.

Eventually his unprofessionalism will cattch up to him. If I found one of my pics on somebody's site I would sue them and do everything I could to ruin there name and business.

Sorry but after sincerely trying to help someone I am pissed. Atleast Mr. Greene you could have said no thanks.

I'm always a good samaritan...just the other day I drove by a couple landscaping hacks. Owner had his 18 year old son up in a tree ,in the backyard. They had a rope tied to a limb. No really thats it. He was just free climbing this maple one handing his mid sized Husky on the limb he was sitting on. Rip cutting everything. I stopped gave them my card and didn't make it to the red light before my phone rang.

He asked me how much to take down the other maple in the front yard. So I asked him how he was gonna get it down. The answer amazed me. He said they were going to toss a rope up on a limb then run a slip knot up so his kid could get in the tree. Then he wouldl pull the saw up so he could start taking limbs off.

I stopped him there knowing I could easily have this knocked out in 20 minutes.( It was a small tree no rigging, strip limbs and pop the top.) We agreed on 75 dollars. I would have done it for free if it meant that boy wasn't getting in the tree.

Just another day playing Captain Save-A-Hoe.

Your a good man ratherbclimbing! Bixler, forgot to say how awesome your harmony ridge vid was, we do a lot of big trees up here in Oregon but that vid was so well done! Swing, great pic and glad you got your 13 pages! It's the little things in life........

Ben
