Honey locust, 25" and in fair condition. What tree species?
I expect it to dieExpect lots of root suckers.
Maybe it could, but I'm not signing off on its safety in the middle of a new playgroundI would guess that it still could make it. Keep us updated, if you are able.
The problem is that these companies don't have anyone on staff with a biology background. ASLA is as close as they get. They're pretty tough trees. Still, what a short-sighted dumb thing to do. Design drawings don't have roots so they must not exist! It would be great if a software company could come up with a program in concert with arborist consultation that showed what is going on below ground as well as above, and took into account the impact of stuff like this in the short and long term so when a computer nerd is designing a living landscape it is harder for them to eff it up.
Hope your team member got more than a pat on the back.We did some removals over a 34.5 kv line yesterday. Didn't take many pictures but here's one of our team finishing an oak.

FooterWhat's the purpose of the trench?
This was a pretty average job to be honest. Nothing too sketchy on that site.Hope your team member got more than a pat on the back.![]()
The difference is that one is related specifically to work photos, the other can be non-work, if you did something today that you wish to share with the rest of us. Mostly the two threads are similar though, as we tree nuts don’t seem to ever do much that is not tree related.(on a side-note.... this thread verses the 'work photos' thread, whats the difference.....nothing far as I can tell?)

I’ll see your rock wall, and raise you a little higher. 21’, to be exact. I built this one the other weekend for a friend’s kids, I’m hoping to put the rest of the holds on it tomorrow. Here's an example of "Today". Built this sucker for the quarantined kiddies. Made with cedar planks a friend of mine milled up.
