This is the Akimbo

Jamie, I'm officially your biggest fan. I'd say I'm well into my break-in period and I'm getting an understanding for the sort of smoothness to expect from the Akimbo. On a Zigzag in DdRT, there's the very progressive and smooth release followed. Y very sudden and exact stops (if you want them). With this, everything seems very cushioned...no jerkiness to descent or stopping now, and long descents just feel...FUN now. The more I use it, the more I love it.

I was avoiding using it at work so any hiccups/adjustments/caution wouldn't hold up production, but this week the opportunity presented itself and now I'm going to have a hard time saying no to the Akimbo from here on out.

I was using km3 max and had a hard time griping that. Scandere is so much better for me. I'm running them in a bdb, don't have an Akimbo yet. Has anyone tried scandere in the Akimbo?

The Unicender test was performed by my buddies, Mark Holton and Dave Katz, at Cornell Tree Climbing Institute, through Cornell University. Perhaps @RockExoticaUSA would allow the same guys to test the Akimbo in a similar manner.
im not sure ive seen it. i thought the volvo was dropped with the GRCS and hobbs?

Should also do the trick. Nice and grippy on beaners and lots of stretch to fit over something. I've got dozens on Zipline slings, zigzag, spider Jack etc. Durable and Works great where you don't need to take the carabineer on and off regularly.

I'm sure I'll be putting one in the akimbo too once it gets here

I'm not sure if your link is to the correct product. When I clicked on it, it took me to the ad copy for the Beal Pinch.

I think this might be the link to the product in the video.

I hope I haven't ruffled any feathers. The whole page of items on TreeStuff that is called "Configuration Aids" has some cool stuff to look at.

Here's the link to that page of items.

Oh man things kinda are going wild around here. The Volvo was dropped on the grcs and Hobbs.
Someone did some diy drop testing on many of the cammed ascenders.
Then some where else in the bowels of YouTube there are drops tests on the uni, but I think they used 300#s of rocks
