This is the Akimbo

I also have it opened nearly all the way up. I am a feather weight, but I was dripping wet after the pink loofa rub down.
It’s buttery the 10’ I can test it out.
One counter intuitive moment was playing with the adjustments coming from a wrench. I thought it would be best to have a little more friction up top and a little loose down low. It’s the opposite, loose up high to easily engage the upper arms (bird or what ever we are going to call it) and all snuggly tight down low

Makes sense to me; less friction up top is where I would want it. I hate my rope runner because my weak little fingers struggle controlling the beak

I just flew a uni for the first time today, on cougar blue. It was horrible.

I had to hold my second wrench in reserve on my hook in case I needed to prune in the path of a cable I was setting between two live oak leaders.

So I borrowed my friend/client's uni, put it on upside down, etc. Went up, finally figured out the tending, worked, then went to descend from 50 feet and it was all drop n stop. Finally I just bailed over to my rw from the other spar. Had enough, lol.

I needed my Akimbo!

Are you sure you aren't neglecting the back of the rr? I was told that I was doing it wrong trying to manipulate the beak, I was told to pull down uniformly on the back and the beak, and once I did that it got easier.

Yeah I try and bend the whole top arm ... it definitely helps but I still hate my rope runner haha. I'm hoping the akimbo will be a better solution. I'll find out next week!

Second batch will be better. I’m sorry! But in all seriousness, there needs to be a bit of slop in the bollards to account for build up of crud. Some of the early versions were super tight and as soon as they got dirty it became impossible to adjust them.

Go to bed Jaime. Sleepy Time now, no more TreeBuzz for you tonight.

No need to hear us complain

Curious as to whether this was an issue with the Gofundme version?

Great! This settles my mind knowing it’s intended this way. It stood out because I noticed the difference from the go fund me version right away.
Funny enough my second thought was “well it might tighten up with a little pitch”

I think the use of two pins at each bollard is a good idea, redundancy.
For what it's worth I think the lip that bears on the bollard at the bottom attach point should be more rounded.
