This is the Akimbo

Sherrill emailed to re-confirm my payment method today. They got a shipment, and sent my info to their warehouse today. I daresay they're likely to have arrived pretty much everywhere.

Hey, danimal! I was just wondering if having that really stout clevis as a tending point allows you to attach an over the shoulder tending strap that will allow you to sit back against it in order to take a rest, if needed? Or would it somehow collapse the Akimbo and cause an uncontrolled descent? Having a strong enough tending point that I can lean back against without worry would be a big issue for me. Thanks in advance for any answer you can provide.

I personally detach from the tending shackle while pausing my ascents because of my chest harness and the tending point- it’s just not comfortable. I have heard of and incident where someone did stay clipped in and had a two foot “heart attack” uncontrolled drop but I think something else was in play, due to the fact you really have to pull down on the top of the Akimbo to break friction. I still don’t recommend staying clipped in when you aren’t on ascent.

Give them I call. I have picked up packages from the distribution centers before when I couldn’t wait another day for it.
They only let me pick stuff up when I miss a delivery attempt.
They just scanned it in around 15min ago so it probably still has to go through sorting.
If it was scanned in earlier I would have been there kicking down the door yelling "Give Me My Precious" like a raving maniac. :reloco:
