Hey on a side note I picked up a used TM s.light in great shape from brocky and I love it much more than the normal tm with the cushion back pad. I remember u telling me and some others to try the slight and if buy anymore tms their gonna be slights
 
I'll say it again.. The TM S.light is much more comfy than the regular TM.. There is no other saddle that I am aware of which can almost completely disappear while still offering incredible support. It is the saddle by which I judge all others. If it can't keep up with the TM light then fuck it.. For me the only saddle that truly competes with the TM light has been Matt's creations..

The only thing I do to my TM S. light is simplify the bungee going to the leg pads...I know some like to put the upgraded backpad on their S.light, but to me the thinner backpad and the lighter conveyor material on the S.light are one of the main reasons that I find it to be a better saddle than the regular TM. The genius of the TreeMo is its ergonomic, hip/pelvis hugging shape, and the S.light does a better job at doing just that.
 
I just got to see a cool setup on a valiant. He runs a hitchhiker lanyard adjuster so the aluminum paws wouldn't last very long with the steel biner.
Seems functional. Clipping above the bridge on the large hole gives more of an upper d feel to the lanyard.

I myself am a big fan of having my side d's and lower d's operate completely independent of each other...There is no way on gods green earth that those giant plates WILL NOT be flopping around like a fish on a line making it very hard to locate when you're trying to clip your lanyard in...Fuck all that.. Call me old fashioned but I kinda like to know that my side d's are gonna be in the same spot every time I need to find them. We won't talk bout how miserable those ginormous plates sitting that far out front would be when rolling a flip-line up a big stick....Defintely not a setup for the kind of tree work I do....

Dunno. I don't do a lot of spar work compared to this guy, but he swears it's nice on 3-4' diameter wood.

Two quickies on the chest harness...whoa horsey. Man loves weight. Awe well power to people.
 
I'm going to try this. I think it should keep the D rings in place.

Each dee will get half the load, if always used together there is 8000 lbs of combined strength. I think only 15 kN is required for harness standards.
 
It is tubular webbing. Very strong. Also the rings are still being held captive by the rope. Although if the webbing were to fail they would be free to shift but not detach from the saddle.
 
I like the concept, but that webbing would need to be at least double thickness to meet safety standards. I believe it has a 4,000 lbs rating.
Nahh it’s bomber. Also gotta remember it’s in basket formation, so theoretically good for 8k. Then it’s also doubled up like a runner
