Stump Grinder Wheel vs Power

I had 3 bandits at my disposal...3rd one for 3 weeks...used it one day...79 horse on tracks...hated it so much after day 1...it sat...for 3 weeks at our shop. Ended up buying a vermeer 852...hands down that much better.

Can you give s some more details.. what didn't you like etc???

Biggest problem with all 3 was no chip containment...i see curtains are now an option...i pushed for them for 2 years. Another biggie was how much debris got recycled through the wheel and thrown forward.. much like raycos do. The vermeers will do it, but no where near as far. ( almost bought a car door when a chunk about the size of a piece of firewood went flying straight horizontal about 50 feet, lady thought the passing car hit her and took off in pursuit). The design of the vermeer guard directs it more down to the ground rather than out. Also the cutter wheels would just stop when relief pressure was reached...the 852 just torques its way through. They also had issues with poly chains going pre-maturely, didnt really stand behind their product much in that regard IMO...they blamed it on green teeth, a year later, their units where back being sold with green teeth! Wth? I'm sure im forgetting some other things.
