Wow, the bmg mods are all coming out of the woodz, lol.

I cut a slit in some pipe and welded that over the hard 90* cut edges on the frame, it protects the hoses better that spiral wrap and chafe sleeve alone. And boxing the backside of the small tine. Hoses are run the same way they came.

Yes, I use it like that. I am an infrequent user to be sure since I do mainly pruning. But when I do use it I like having the lines always tending to be up out of the way.

But if you have an Avant or equivalent camming connection it's always easy.

Also difficult if one hose comes off and you operate the hydraulics before realizing it came off.

Arrangement with my one-way check valve to keep my material grappled until I ungrapple. Not sure if I posted this already. Needs some housekeeping, and I usually bungee it to the corner in the iron square tube.

Doesn’t have to be a black grapple, any cylinder will do it. We leave our big grapple open an inch or so when disconnected, and it connects easier, but if it gets too warm in the sun, we sometimes have to crack a line loose to make it connect.

I just replaced a line and wrapped it like this, will see how it goes tomorrow. I think I have a bit too much slack on the grapple side. I wish I saw this thread before doing it. I like what Tr33Climb3r did and actually even bought the clamps when I got the hose.

I've been using that same size 'drop' hitch.

When I use a slight 'raise' hitch, it doesn't work well.

Wow that's a lot! Local I would expect to pay around $100 each... You could try one of our hydraulic shops, I'm not sure what shipping across the country would be. Did you try calling Branch Manager directly?

The last time I replaced mine, branch manager was roughly half the price as the local shop, plus they had the chafe guard on their hoses. Although the local shop would have been quicker, getting them the same day.

Around here they sure don't! The NAPA stores around here wouldn't know what a hydraulic hose was if you hit them with it.

They do here, and advance auto/carquest. See above cost though. Gates brand hoses as to the specifics. Local hydraulic guru uses Continental iirc.
