Good vids, thanks for posting.

Wolter and Treestyler,

when I think of the Nederlands I think of Euro 88 - Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Ronald Koeman. Great team. Van Basten's volley into the net was excellent. Dont worry, thats not all I think of, also think of AJAX of Amsterdam, coffee shops, red light zone, Geert Wilders 'Fitna', Orange things, Clogs, Windmills.
Famke Janssen, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh, MC Escher. Erasmus. Rotterdam - Europe's largest port? The Dutch East Indies Trading Company who once ruled half the world. Thats about it.

@Casey : nice vids, great looking saw and good performance.

@grover : wow man, you just know much about the netherlands but you forgot we also have the "best" arborists in the world when its about having fun together ;-)

Here is a little comparison between the 200 and 201.

I watched this video right after you posted it...is it just me or is there a major power difference? You have been running the 201 since one came available here in the US. What are your opinions of it?

The 201T got spaked by the 200T...bam...is it just me??
200T or go home!!!

3 week old 201T handle snapped off like a twig on me the other day. Gave it a little jerk to free it from a 2" limb that had pinched the tip of the bar and the entire handle more or less fell off. It broke at 3 different places. Cheap crappy plastic! Still waiting for a reply from my stihl dealer that I bought it from. Either way I'm extremely disappointed and wish I would have sought out a 200.

So the 201T saga goes on. Called about the saw again today. They're putting in a new fuel filter and they'll call me this afternoon. Weather is crap so I took a siesta. Woke up, nop call.......called them. The technician is walking out the door but says they need to put a new carb on it and they are having trouble finding one. I have a few questions.....
1. The saw is brand spanking new. Used for about 3 weeks, why would it need a new fuel filter? And even more, a new Carb?
2. I live 25 miles from Virginia Beach, aren't they made there? Did they not make any spare parts?
3. When do I just get a new saw due to warranty issues? Is there a lemon law for shainsaws?

This is crap, i'm loosing my faith in Stihl.

Boy Arborcare you are really getting the shaft with that new saw I would be more aggressive as I would not want that particular saw back. Tell them keep it and replace it with a new one. Stihl stands by their saws, if it were me they would have to give me a new one or my business goes elsewhere. Just my two cents. Paul.

Taking down two huge Italian poplars over a Ferrari and Maserati garage, prune one oversized Limetree over a house and immaculate garden and still having time to gossip over colleagues and the new Husky tophandle.

They are gonna give me a new 201T. It is outside the Stihl 7 day return but they'll do it anyway. They are also gonna fix mine and let me use it to see if the new carb fixes the rev problem. There was nothing in the handle that would make the saw rev up. They couldn't recreate the issue so they assumed it must be the carb. New saw on monday!

Hope you will be just fine with the new 201T and let us know if it's any better.

And test out the old one with the new carb to the max so you sure know it is solved ;-)

Picked up the 201T yesterday. The old saw: They weren't able to recreate the idle issue. The linkage in the handle was fine, the carb was fine. The did a vac test and all that good stuff. No issues. They gave me a new 201 and told me to use the heck out of the old one to try to recreate the issue.

What I did find out from Stihl's head tech guy......The saw is set to top out at 14000(rpm?) Hey just gave me numbers and i'm not sure what the exact numbers were. He said the 200T tops out at 14500. He said its fine to set the saw up to 14,500 so he did. I'll let you know what the outcome is.
