Small rope swing while climbing a 110' beauty :D

I know I'm late to the party, but I have the same 9mm rope as you, Logan, and I just tried Samson Ice Tail for my hitch and it worked flawlessly!

I made a 9mm rope wrench, works pretty good, but I am getting some sheath/core slippage. Is this something to be concerned about? I've considered making another wrench with more friction so the hitch doesn't drag as hard.

Just milk all the slack out of your 9mm and cut off and reseal. I've used a couple different 9mm HTP ropes, using a hitch only, and never had any slippage.

My preference is 7mm cord on 9mm rope.
