I'm trying to figure out what's going on there. how did you end up with that piece hanging up on the rigging? And where did that flying piece in mid air come from? I will tie off well up towards the tips and cut a steep narrow Humboldt to get them to drop from the cut then pull back to prevent hanging up.
It was a bit of a mess. The broken top is a storm damaged Poplar still connected at the stem. I tied it off on a block to keep it from falling if it broke off. It was hung up hard in the Oak below it. The mid-air piece is part of the Poplar stuck in the Oak. I was tied in well above and a little behind the trees I was working. Wouldn’t have been a comfortable swing but it would have been a clean swing if I had to do it. I cut part of the Oak branches and Poplar tips to clear the two from each other then pieced them down
And smart like a ….. one wrong move and won’t be walking right for weeks

Ah snowblower! Snow dogg 3 pt snow blower. I also got a flail forestry mower for it. Looking at log splitters and 3 pt wood chippers.
Omg dude, boxelder is spectacular milled up. I have seen boards that looked like landscape paintings, and such beautiful colors. Find a way to get those milled up and stacked on stickers, you won't be disappointed.
