SAKA mini

I'm having this discussion with guys I highly respect for their knowledge, experience and skills so please take arguments made as simply talking science.
It's a little like talking the 3:1 MA on a limb walk ;)
The only way, did I say "only", to get MA for a floating knee ascender is to also attach that bungee to something other than the knee ascender, like the tree limb above. Again, replace the bungee with any other cordage and see what it does. Now we are taking huge strides, stepping over whole trees in a single bound.

Again, in understanding this, replace the bungee with static cordage and see what it does.

Hi Richard,

I used a single bungie knee ascender attached to a chest roller for many years before switching to your SAKA design. Now you have me thinking I might switch back to a single bungie again! At least I want to try one to see if it tends as well as the SAKA. When is it going to be on the market?

I'm hoping in a month or so.

It's been a verbal I've heard several times.
its a verbal you have heard several times??? verbal??? as in person? really?? so when did this happen? or are you just making S*$T up to sound like an much smarter authority? or are you making stuff up so I sound stupid? because that would be slander. I don't have time to baby sit this stuff, I actually have to work. For the guys above who questioned this stupid claim, thank you. I know I'm just some dumb tree dude trying to feed my family, and I don't have a business Degree or vast business knowledge, but thank you for questioning and not just letting me get saddled with this as if I actually said it. I do recall a video out there by some nut that when he saw the Velox design, made a bunch of incorrect proclamations to try and discredit the design....anyway, I cannot remember who that guy was...

I received my new saka mini today! I’m excited to use it (one day when I’m not in a lift or spikes). My only knee ascender has been a diy job with a Chinese ascender and spare bungee. Glad for the upgrade.

You are going to like this upgrade then, I keep finding new ways to tend it. My current favorite is doubling the bungee through a microcarabiner clipped to the suspender ring on top of my harness.
Then I just wear it in the tree, on and off the rope as I go.

Finally got a tiny ascent with it today. It’s definitely an upgrade from my heavy homemade edition.

A picture showing a little trick to avoid losing the foot loop. Everyone I’ve known with a saka has lost the foot loop at some point. When borrowing an original, I lost one for someone...5D757F2C-477D-442C-A661-CE0B7406A843.webp
