Despite working at a coal fired power plant for 25 years, I believe it's a pretty sure bet that, in the long game, the exact opposite is true when referring to the large scale burning of petroleum: Eventually we will all realize that oil is death. With it advanced civilization dies.
I'm no environmentalist tree hugger, but with the issue of humans warming the planet, the rock can be kicked down the road only so far. We can't change the world overnight, but everyone doing nothing may make life pretty challenging in a few generations. I'll bet in 100 years, it will be easier to find a pay phone than a gas pump.

Absolutely no argument. But today is not 100 years from now. And even then, where does the electricity come from? Leftists despise nuclear. Solar is currently grossly incapable. Coal is out of the question.
Oil is what powers the heavy equipment that digs the coal that we all rely on. And digs the nickel that all future electric cars will rely on. Nothing is simple, but TODAY the best move is to be as energy independent as possible and to research future technologies free from the worry of the whims of a brutal dictator who hates us.

I'm not in arguing it's ok for Russia to invade Ukraine.
I do think that there really has being one power at the top, who has being mostly responsible for most major atrocities, since the last 1500 years. They had near complete control of Europe, killing millions, during the Dark Ages, becoming more prolific in the world, after the Protestant Reformation. They funded and supplied both sides of the Civil War. Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, by Charles Chiniquy is an interesting book. The Nazi regime was setup and funded by the Jesuits. It was analogous to another crusade of theirs. Almost all supreme court justices, many recent presidents and many long term politicians, are graduates of one of the five Jesuit universities.
From what I saw Trump was trying get acquainted with Putin, as to better know how to calm the situation, probably knowing there was a war brewing. How he dealt with Kim of North Korea, I think was quite wise.
It's interesting to know that a while before Russia invaded, Ukraine was quite divided, only roughly half of it was allegiant Ukrainians.
There probably was so much bad dealings with Russia through Hilary, and Joe/Hunter, with certain officials in Ukraine; that pushed Putin over the edge to invading.

I agree, to an extent. Greed of the ones at the near top. Or, more accurately, want of control by oppression of the ones at the bottom, is why oil is even nearly as environmentally detrimental as it is. There have being quite a few people who have invented mechanisms to burn 30 times less fuel, to decrease consumption. Yet, they wouldn't sell their patent to big oil, so they were smothered, for not relinquishing the rights to their invention that would decrease dependency on oil.
If you really look into the EPA or some "environmentally" shifts to electric: it's not truly about the environment, it's about control via oppression.

Remember the "perfect' phone call? The one in which Trump tried to blackmail the Ukrainian president into helping him (Trump) win the 2020 presidential election. Amazing that the very weapons that Trump tried to use as leverage are now being used to fight the Russian invasion.
Let's also remember that Trump spent 4 years doing his very best to undermine and weaken NATO. Putin's wet dream!

That "phone call" was likely in mockingly returning, the "russian collusion" medicine, to those who conjured it up or believed it to be true. And, when they ran out of "russian collusion" type blackmailing, the elite simply "glitched" the ballot system machines.
I agree Trump did say things inappropriate some times, and did come off as egotistical, but some judge him entirely on that.
I find it shallow, non perceptive. He was the only president since JFK, who didn't cave to the elite.
That's why they hated him, from his first day in office.
What would you rather have, a president who can appease your idea of a "proper" talking president, while cooperatively heeding the elitists agenda.
Or, a president who gets on your nerves for how he talks, while trying to thwart the elitists agenda.

This argument baffles me to this day. Trump, as a rebel as a savior who stood up to the elite, a Robinhood of sorts…. Dude is the most elitist prick I can think of, well…. Next to Putin of course.
I will admit that most all politicians are elitist pricks, that’s one of the job descriptions. It’s literally a popularity contest amongst the elite who contribute the most campaign contributions. Trump was to some and many degrees ‘Unconventional’ and some would argue much much worse terms. BUT by no means was/is trump non elitist by any measure. He was the elitist who could be the underdog ‘for the people’ of the stereotypical Amerikans.
Pure nonsense from beginning to end. Trump, the son of a multi-millionaire, got caught attempting to use the very weapons that Ukraine is now using to defend itself as leverage to force them (a foreign power) to insert themselves in our 2020 presidential elections. Thankfully men like Alexander Vindman and Volodymyr Zelenskyy have had the courage to stand up to men like Putin and Trump.
