rope runner

Yeah but I had though TS had the same thing just named something different. It was maybe swing that told me or maybe Jeffgu but I haven't seen him on here in a while. Probably in jail or something.
They are all in the Blue Moon group (the original) PI, PI Hi-vy, Calamine, Sumac, Prism, Arrow Frog, etc.

I primarily run Yale Kernmaster 11 mm with my Runner and love it. Super smooth. It can be bouncy on long ascents, but I prefer the feel in hand over Blue Moon and it knots really well. I dig the safari color but after a month or so it just looks brown and is a bit hard to see in the tree.

The cougar puke worked well with the runner on an ash removal today.

It was jumpy on release and didn't come to a complete stop when I bombed oUT of the tree.

I'm so used to the BDB release that I need to get used to the Runner, but what a great tool.

And the puke is a great rope, I like the colours. It completes my cougar collection.

Depends how worn your runner is. Mine used to come to a complete stop instantly. Now it takes an inch or two but I do stop hands free. I had jump for a while but not after I switched to the bearing pulley. Hell cougar is all I know. Wish I had some other rope to try but both my ropes are brand new so no need to purchase another. I carry a 150 and a 200' of puke in the truck plus a 75' for little crap.

I have a brand new runner and I have the new tending pulley.

I think my difficulty is that I'm so used to the BDB after using it exclusively for more than a year and a half that I need a little time to adjust to the variation.

I also ignored the wisdom of " low and slow" by making my first climb a 60' ash take down.
