Rope access webpage

Tom that is pretty good Thanx!

Here is the one you sent me a while back that i said i'd post: "Life on a Line" by Dr. David Merchant Absolutely packed free book to download in 3 pieces (smaller/easier downloads) for use and understanding of all kinds of rope tools and knots, properties of ropes, SRT; a regular book like you'd buy, but could never find.

That and Industrial Rope Usage Download (2Meg in one big file); also a regular book on a specialized topics of rope used for life support and loading; are 2 of the best refrences i've seen for some of these topics; especially for the free price. If ya can't afford "On Rope" by Padgett and Smith (and even if you can); these'd be great to have!

Edit: On Rope's Free 20 DownLoadable Guides to Working with Ropes should be mentioned too; especially there catalog is like a field guide to SRT etc.

Such a high quality education and easily digestible depth to be given on these specialized topics at any price, let alone for free IMLHO.

Tom, TreeSpyder, thanks. Lots of very good information. I'm going to be busy for a while /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

TreeSpyder, the URL for OnRope1's 20 downloadable guides to working with ropes gets an error saying, "The requested URL was not found on this server." Could you verify that that link is still available?

Thanks,
Jim
