Redwood Season is Perpetual

Beautiful pics Mario!!
What kind of camera are you using?

Most lately are with a Canon SX10 IS which I think is now upgraded to the Canon SX20 IS

Not a compact for sure, but I like the 20 x zoom. I also use a Canon A650 IS which some reviews described as being like a Canon G7 minus the frills. And right now, it were to break down, I'd replace with the Ganon G11. But I've got some mileage left.

Gerald Beranek has a camera that takes some really nice redwood pics. I forget what model he brought, but he took some really nice photographs of each of us in front of redwood trees. If he glances at this topic, maybe he can post the camera he's using.

I think that's a "toothwort" common name. Yeah, they are the early birds. I see the trilium and lady slipper orchids are up now too. I'll capture them this weekend.

The camera I use now is a Fuji-Film S100, 11 MP. The lens on that camera is fantastic for a point and shoot.

With my old 35mm cams it cost on average 50 cents every time I pushed the shutter. So I limited myself on outings on how many rolls of film I would shoot. It was expensive.

With that digital it doesn't cost a penny to push that shutter and on some outings I will take 4 or 5 hundred pictures at a wack. It's amazing the quality of the pictures. Sharp and perfectly exposed nearly everytime on automatic settings. Never happen with my old Nikons.

I like it.
