Pintle hitch parts

So I broke the "pin" on my pintle hitch. The part you put down before sliding the other pin through. Anyone know where I can find this part? Or is it new hitch time?

New hitch time, if the metal is fatigued on that part the whole hitch is fatigued. Having a hitch come apart at 65 mph is not fun.

Why did THAT part break? I'm so sick of inferior products... I'd pay 3X as much or more for shit that was more reliable! Aargh!

Tom, that part broke because I backed into the pintle ring a few too many times and tried to bend it back into place one last time. Oops!

Time for a whole new hitch.

You probably know this...the 'bottom' break is rusted...that happened a while ago.

Bending cast parts doesn't work.

Who knows what quality the casting is.

They're good folks. I'm fortunate that they're close enough for me to shop at their brick and mortar location. They know trailers inside and out.

Never had one come apart, but I have had chippers and trailer come off the hitch when people I trusted forgot to lock the pintle.

I imagine the ride would be about the same.
