They really are great. Anywhere else in the world thats all you can get.
I like it! I started out with a 93 Dodge 12 valve 4x4 with an ez dumper in the bed pulling a 12" Bandit. Worked great! It is a 1997 Dodge with cummins 12 valve diesel. 350,000 mi still gets near 20 mpg and pulls like a freight train. Been through a few evolutions of my small tree service rig and this works pretty well for me. I actually downsized from a 1 ton dually and 12 inch chipper a few years back. All saws and tools in side mount tool boxes, climbing gear in the cab, ladders wheelbarrows etc on the rack,10,000lb winch in rear bumper can pull the chipper on board a 16' trailer with 4' side walls, hitch chipper to receiver at front of trailer, put 30 ton log splitter behind chipper and I can dismantle most any tree and take it home...It is basic but works for me as I concentrate on fruit and ornamental trees and fine quality residential pruning. Handles the occasional big removal as well. I sell and give away firewood and mulch anywhere I can find and that definitely reduces the haul off and provides a small return compared to paying for disposal.Plus processing the firewood gives me something to stay warm in the winter or blow off some steam if I am pissed.
I can make 400$ in a day if I am really pissed. selling wood I got paid to cut and haul off provides a nice $ cushion when it gets slow.
I can't figure out how to get the pics on here, but in this gallery there are a few pics with our cabover chip truck in it:They really are great. Anywhere else in the world thats all you can get.
