Pantin adjustment

So I have been using the Pantin a lot lately and am having issues with the webbing portion that goes under the arch of the foot loosening during ascent. There is a piece of tubular webbing which covers the doubled back portion of the adjustment webbing. I guess it is supposed to work on the chinese finger trap rule and as you step down on the Pantin, the doubled over webbing is pinned against itself and won't slip out. If that is the case it doesn't work for me. I have had one time already when the webbing came completely out and when i stepped down the Pantin just rode up my calf. every other time i use it, it is noticeably looser than it was when i started.

So I was thinking of stitching some "thread staples) into the bottom piece of webbing to keep it from loosening on me. The 2 questions are, if i put a hole in the webbing with a needle, will it tear the webbing as i stand on it, and two, has anybody else had this problem and if so, what was your solution?

The strap that goes around the anckle does have a buckle and does not loosen. Its the strap that goes under the foot that loosens on me.

There isn't a chinese finger trap, it just locks on the pantin.
Is the strap fed through the Pantin as in this attachment?

that is how i have it...i don't know why it slips out on me...but after looking at the pantin again, there is already stitching in other parts of the webbing so i guess i will just stitch it.

I use a couple of nylocks or nyties. Hasn't moved in two years. The rubber thing is an o ring. Makes a quick grab and doesn't interfere.

Stitch it. I used Power Pro braided Spectra fishing line as thread to stitch mine, very strong stuff and it's held for almost 5 years now. The black and white sleeve is strictly an extra layer for wear protection. I stitched it in place as well because it wanted to slide around to one side.

Attached is a recent picture of my 5 year old Pantin. As you can see it doesn't get much use.

There is no need to stitch it. There was another thread on here somewhere that discussed an easy and adjustable way to stop the slippage.

Mahk is normally good at pin-pointing the appropriate threads, and he was in on it. Mahk, can you help here?

Its too late..I stitched it. I will try it out this week and see how well it holds up. I actually lost the white and black piece of webbing the day the pantin rode up my calf so i made one out of an extra loop runner. But lets say i wanted to get that peice or a whole new webbing setup for the pantin...is it posible to get it anywhere without having to buy another pantin with it?
