That won’t scarify the land for replanting as the stumps and roots are still in the ground. Why isn't a Fecon/forestry mower the answer here?

This is goodA buddy of mine recently did a similar job. It wasn't an orchard, but acres of saplings were removed. He used a full size skidsteer with a root grapple and uprooted each tree. Shook the dirt off and loaded them in a 20' dump trailer.
He made a pretty good amount and only paid about 3k to dispose of all of the saplings at a mulch yard. No wear and tear on him apart from riding in his new bobcat for hours.
ThanksOk, so my thought is a little different, but it’s based on what I see done at the orchards around here. Most guys in this area use a tree puller on a skidloader, and just run around lifting the trees out.
Yank them, drop them, and then come back and pile them with a grapple on. That takes care of the stumps as well as the trees, all at the same time. I would guess with one loader, an average of 50-70 trees an hour pulled and piled is reasonable, then just add the cost to have the whole pile hauled off in a grapple truck or shredded onsite.
Just any fyi, his job was about 10 acres and his bid was about $38,000This is good

Curious how open they were with you. How much did you bid, and what was the winning bid? I hope I'm not overstepping.Hi no I didn't get this contract.
