I make a client wait for three months with a couple of "I'll be there in a couple weeks". That would be kind of ok but five minutes before his call I had made arrangements to have another climber/owner help me so I could train him. The delay was out of my hands but the tree was over Detroit coach Mike Babcock's cabin. Would of been good for the rep....Sux to be me, and I get to have my books went over by the revenuers for the first time was the news the day before. I'll just call the bad condition of my truck bad luck #3 and get the, "it comes in threes" superstition out of the way.
 
I'd stay in bed tomorrow...

I hate that couple weeks thing; delaying has messed me up many times. His call was to cancel then?

Email makes client contact easier, but I'm trying to give good phone nowadays too.

I got audited in a hurricane year--definitely my highest income year, but it turned out to be the highest expense year too. Bon chance!
 
Agh if those carpenters building next door got the tree they already smashed Babs new foundation twice with a bobcat. So there ya go. I was waiting for trained help.
 
He's been climbing his own jobs so he must have some skills. I would of soloed it almost anywhere but that was high exposure and it was a big dead spruce over a brand new building.
 
The client was his neighbor. I guess the tree will be dealt with by someone else. We were going to do it on Monday, if the guy could of just waited till then. I bet it will only take longer now. And, I'd like to think, be done by second best. It wasn't that technical, could chuck everything but the top. And even the top could of been let fly with the right tailwind, but that wouldn't of been real pro or safe. Hopefully it was just technical enough to scare another hack back to reality. All my clients get the royal treatment with the work but not so much with the telephone. I'd love to only communicate by email.

Not name dropping, just truly concerned for a friend. He has been good to me and my friends and family. Funny though.

That's about the best I could do. As tempting as it is to camo up and get video of other's work practices. I'll leave them to film me. And yes Babcock seems like a pretty good guy, that's why I was choked. The tax man is my main concern. Running as legit as I could, seems like they'll still screw me. Get it over with on tues.
