New Hikers

Just an update on my ultralights...Still loving everything about them...Holding up great after a couple months...There are a couple small splits on the rubber sides but nothing bad...Great for footlocking and amazing pruning boots.I have also worn them on 3 removals and can honestly say I like them better than any logger I have ever worn.Great Boots

i wear a hiker style boot designed for climbing when i'm pruning or trees that i can do quickly w/spikes.. for big jobs i wear carolina's lineman boots. they're a little heavy but very durable and reasonably priced.

Coming up on a year and still doing great...I will say this, the lack of a heel makes it very difficult to wear spikes with...To be honest I dont know if I will ever be able to have just one boot for all around use(as much as I have tried)...I hate wearing a large heel, but it seems like there is no getting around having some for removals...Like I stated before in this thread I prune 75% of the time and I really would like to get back to wearing a very lightweight hiker for everything but removals...

Bradirt-
you used the S word (spikes) in the same sentence with prunning.....I guess it was a typo!
lmfao
later

I want to try Pfanner boots but cant get over the red color...actually I don't mind but may get my balls busted to no end from the guys, you know the REAL Men, the kind that frown on sissy boots and PPE.

Steve B,

Those are the lightweights, yes? I didn't follow the whole thread, and am in dire need to replace my Asolos.

These are the ultralights...Another thing to add is that these do not look as similar to the ultralights listed on their website...The ultralights on the website appear to have a larger toe area, also a taller heel which would have worked better for spikes, which I would have preferred...
