Sounds like you want a boom that's heavy enough to be part of the "crane class" kbooms, rather than the "truck unloader class". Make sure whatever boom you decide on has a really wide rotation bearing, it will last a lot longer. Stay away from the cheap ones that have a small rotation bearing(10-16" across).

I ordered a Treemek 40 from Rick and my truck arrived at his shop last Monday. He guided me through the whole process and patiently answered a million questions. Sorry for the delay. I've been traveling a lot over the past several weeks. Attached are some of the latest picture of the Gallo Build. The tag axle installed and aired up. It's at the paint shop now should have it back later this week I hope. The new crane is due here today.

Nice, I went with 12"x 3/8", now the truck is so tall to drive down the road that I'm always paranoid that i'll pull down wires.

13'6" your good. I don't like to get them that high if I can avoid it but sometimes you don't have a choice.

Funny thing is the dealer didn't think to measure it until i was there to pick it up and said "huh...that's tall"
