New build project for Gallo Tree PK50002 D JP125E JV1 w/ Mecanil GS220

I bought a used crane and truck from Rick about 3 months ago and it was a good experience. The fabrication work that was done prior to us building it was excellent. Nothing had to be cleaned up or fixed. Rick went through the truck and crane before he would let us take it. His guys in the shop have been nothing but short of excellent and the parts guy has been right on point. Parts seemed to come pretty quickly. So far I'm very happy with Westminster Hydraulics. I had one of Ricks potential customers come look at my truck this weekend and he was also impressed with the shops workmanship. Thanks for all his and shops help. Im sure we are not done working with them. We bought 65002 with a jib and could not be happier with how smooth and the size of the picks we can take we have only been using it for about 2 weeks. We also have a 60' Heila 27 ton its been great and we still use it but this is a whole new league and it is For Sale LOL.

You can't go wrong with Westminster hyd.!! I can say first hand that your project will not leave their shop until it is right, Rick Cooney was nice enough to allow me to spend time in his shop while they were building my truck, the men that work with him take pride in their work and they go the extra mile so that you have a truck and crane combination that will last for many years!!
One thing Rick offers is an automatic greasing system for the crane I did not include it in my build and i am kicking myself now ! If you are looking to get a kboom your search is over, this is a one stop shop they do it ALL . I had one leaking hose and Palfinger is right there to cover it under the warranty . Rick always extends the offer to call him and you will get HIM on the phone, if by chance he is out of the shop he makes it a point to call you back by the end of the day .

Must be nice! Lol

Do you have a dealership in toronto? Do you work for a dealership?

Do you just deal used kbooms or do you sell and mount new booms?

I sell mostly unmounted used knuckle booms and I am a Mecanil grapple saw dealer. I work with several dealers in the US and Canada to refer people for new truck and crane builds and service work. I only work with dealers that offer excellent service and quality of work (Westminster Hydraulics being one of them)

Todd I'll look forward to meeting you.

If anyone is looking for a large K boom I have a Pk85002 E PJ170E coming in on trade in July.

Can you please email me details on this? I know a few people that may be interested.

Westminster,

I am a supervisor for the City in Denver. I wanted to use a Palfinger or K-Boom type rig to outfit a Class B style truck to run double duty as a crane truck for tree planting (ie carrying 30 to 40 balled and burlaped trees to a jobsite and placing them in a park or placing beside pre-dug hole ) then when not planting we would still have a crane that could help with removal operations of medium to large trees. As a point of note for boom size we can drive to 99% of our trees. It is rare we remove anything in backyard type environments.

I am trying to help our fleet maintenance public works guy spec out the truck and am curious what a "mid duty " Palfinger boom model would be.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Steve
